Rakesh Mittal, MD, PhD
The role of the President of the Medical Staff and the entire leadership team is pivotal in fostering unity, recognition, and growth within the medical community. The year 2023 marked a remarkable journey, filled with notable achievements and initiatives aimed at enhancing unity, collaboration, recognitions, quality of care and camaraderie among our medical staff.
Engaging the Medical Community
Creation of a Newsletter:
The year commenced with the launch of a monthly newsletter, which became a central source of information, updates, and success stories. The newsletter served as a vital tool for keeping our medical community connected, informed, and engaged. It aims to facilitate communication among the medical staff by sharing updates on medical advancements, articles of interest and best practices, and important announcements, fostering a cohesive healthcare community. Through this newsletter, we aim to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of our medical staff, promoting a sense of pride and unity within our healthcare organization.
PhysiciansVoice.org - A Digital Hub:
The establishment of physiciansvoice.org revolutionized our online presence. This dedicated website, that is still in it’s developmental infant phase, will became a platform for open discussions, education via CME’s, networking, interdisciplinary cooperation, sharing experiences, and promoting dialogue within our medical community. It will facilitate better communication and collaboration among staff members.
Growth and Membership
Celebration 2023 Event:
2023 was kicked off by our first event in early May of 2023 with a program called celebration 2023. We celebrated the addition of 15 new honorary staff members to our medical staff for the very first time after almost half a decade. This expansion showcased our commitment to growth, diversity, and ensuring that our healthcare team remains strong and dynamic. Honorary staff memberships for retired physicians recognize their lifelong contributions to the medical field, acknowledging their expertise and dedication.
This gesture fosters a sense of appreciation and continued connection, allowing retired physicians to stay engaged with the medical community and share their wisdom with future generations. It also maintains a valuable network of experienced professionals who can provide guidance and mentorship, enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services.
