Dr. Rakesh Mittal, a highly skilled Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist in St. Petersburg, Florida, is celebrated for his distinguished medical career. Graduating from S.N Medical School in India, he pursued a groundbreaking path in Cancer Research in Canada. Dr. Mittal earned his Ph.D. in Medicine (Molecular Biology) at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, receiving the prestigious Governors General Gold medal, the highest Canadian honor for a graduate student.
His extensive publications, particularly on "Human Papilloma Virus," showcase his commitment to advancing medical knowledge. Notably, his research on "Hormone regulation of the HPV Virus" played a crucial role in contributing to the development of an HPV vaccine.
