About Dr. Nathan Hameroff

Dr. Hameroff was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. He graduated from Sunny upstate Medical University of New York in 1964 and thereafter finished his residency at King's county hospital in New York. He then joined the military to become a captain in the US air force. In 1970 he moved to St Petersburg. In 1976 developers of the then Hubert Rutland Hospital invited him to develop the radiology department of what is now called “Northside Hospital" and then he also founded gateway radiology. He retired from NSH in the year 2008 after thirty-two years of service. He is one of the founding members of Northside Hospital.
